The Blue Mountain School is an interdisciplinary space on Chance Street, East London. The building designed by 6a architects hosts a diverse range of practices including Mãos, a kitchen, Blue Projects, an exhibition space and Hostem, an open archive. The Blue Revue, published on the inauguration of the building in March 2018, includes texts by William H Gass, Tom Emerson and a scented page by Lyn Harris (Perfumer H). It is entirely set in the newly released Abyme typeface Berthe, with a custom masthead inspired by French Elzévir types. The Blue Mountain School identity, created by John Morgan studio, uses BLAU, a bespoke, geometric typeface, cast in iron and applied to the silver building facade.
